How can I stop underarm sweating and body odor? This is ruining my job and life.?
I am a sales representative. Due to my job nature I have to travel a lot with well dressed up. My problem of excessive sweating is ruining my career as I feel ashamed of my body odor when I meet new people. Does anybody know a better treatment which will stop any drop of sweating in my underarm?
There are treatments your doctor can do to curb excessive sweating.

try washing with goats milk at night—goats milk is a natural way to kill the bacteria that causes body odor, plus it is great for your skin. it may or may not help with the sweating, but will definately help with the odor.

If it's as extreme as it seems you are saying it is ("ruining my job and life") talk to your doctor about getting a referral to a specialist who can talk to you about the pros and cons of a Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (surgery).

go to the drug store and buy "CERTAIN DRI"
It is typically right by all the deoderant/anti perspirant products.
I really works. I had really bad sweaty arm pits in high school and it stopped them from sweating.
You use it at night before you go to bed. Don't shave right before you put it on or it will sting. I had to use it a few nights in a row before it worked, but once it starts to work, it seriously works!
I still used regular deoderant like Secret in the day time because if my pits heat up I want to smell something nice.
But it really really works.

There is a few things… now there is clinical strength deodorant on the market. I like using Secret Platinum 24/7 stick that goes on clear. I have not had any issues with body odor with that. There is also a surgical procedure (I believe you can get it done at a dermatologists office) where they do something with the sweat glands to reduce sweating. You could also ask your pharmacist to see if they can recommend a prescription strength deodorant that is available over the counter. Good luck!
Ps. Certain Dri made my underarms STING even when I do not shave within the same day!

Use natual antiperpirant. I came to know one whihc is great. It actually forms a thin layer of skin in my underarm so no sweat drop can come out and no bad odor. Check the link

A fellow excessive sweater. Or at least a previous one!
Secret Clinical Strength deodorant/antiperspirant. It's the best thing out there, unless you want to pay extra for a doctors prescribed deodorant.

Do some research on a condition called Hyperhidrosis. It is excessive sweating. I have it and I have tried the prescription medicine antiperspirant Dry-Sol. It didn't work for me very well. I use Secret Clinical Strength. It works wonders. There are others out there that work pretty well but you'll have to try them for yourself and decide which works the best for you. Botox is a treatment for hyperhidrosis but can work anywhere from 6 months to a year and it's expensive!
Good Luck!

1. use deodorant, try the ones that has sweat and odor control for the longest hour.
2. Bath more!
3. Sometimes is the food that you consume or you must love to take meat instead of vege… you need to change your diet… and drink more water because water tents to wash away toxic that accumulate in your body.
good luck

a cheap home remedy is to dust your underarms with biocarbonate of soda when you get out the bath or shower, it controls sweat and odour (apparently!)

Here is some info (its from an answer I gave to a similar question a while back)
there is a product called Certain-dry and Dry Sol which I think you apply only at night maybe for only a few days or maybe a week and its supposed to last for a short while before you apply again… not sure exactly if I am right on how it works.

there is also a product called Sweat Block that you apply once a week.

you might be able to use these on other areas of the body like if you have excessive sweating on the hands but I am not sure.
if your sweating is not controllable by these then there is something called "Drionic" which they have underarm versions or hand/feet versions. You have to do I think 2 half hour sessions and depending on if you do it on low or high you have to do it for 7-8 hours total or double that on low. This is supposed to stop sweating for up to 6 weeks at a time. It stings when you use it but once you are used to it I guess its not that bad by what my uncle told me (he uses it with great success). Your underams will be red when first using it until you get used to it. But once you get through the treatments it will go back normal after some days. My uncle said this is the best thing he has ever tried as it stops his excessive sweating (he even sweat a lot during winter when it was snowing)

also, if you don't want to go this route and your excessive sweating is on your underarms, there are underarm guards you can place on your clothing that absorb the sweat and prevent those armpit wet circles some people get.
