I’m going to be dressing up a bit for a formal ballroom dancing event, and I have quite a significant problem with excessive underarm sweating — as in beyond what even the strongest antiperspirants can handle.
Any suggestions on what I can wear/do to make it less noticeable?
Thank you!
Wearing black will make it less noticeable, so will wearing a sleeveless dress.

Hi people I have short trimmed underarm hair and I sweat a lot so can I shave my armpit hair so that I can reduce armpit sweating ? does shaving really help to reduce underarm sweat ?
Sweat is produced by glands and hair does not affect how much someone sweats. Shaving your hair will not reduce sweating. In fact having hair there will help the sweat evaporate faster leaving you feeling dryer than if you had no hair.
Excessive sweating can be caused by anxiety. A common complaint is that someone gets nervous because they sweat, then they sweat more because they are nervous. Other factors can play a role are certain foods & drinks as well as nicotine, caffeine can also cause people to sweat more.
If you feel that you sweat much more than other people you should see a doctor as there is a condition called Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) that can be managed though a variety of methods. This condition can be caused by a disorder of the thyroid or pituitary gland, diabetes, tumors, gout, menopause, certain drugs, or mercury poisoning. There are usually more serious consequences than the excessive sweating that accompanies this condition so check with your doctor.
Although it is most likely that you are fine and just need to wear deodorant (you also use a starch based powder like baby powder to keep you dry) and carry a change of shirt so that you can keep fresh.

Is there anything I can do with my underarm sweating and odor? I'm already 13 years old. It's so embarassing especially when we have a presentation. Please give me treatment or medicine that can be applied or bought here in the Philippines. THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I don't know if stores sell deodorant in the phillippines or not…I know it's hard to find in some European countries, so let's do some home remedies: try putting baking soda under your arms, or talc powder–this will help with the wetness. you might need to take some to school with you and put it on throughout the day. If you use baking soda, it will help with the odor problem. And, know that you're going through puberty and it will all slow down soon!
It's completely normal and most of your classmates are going through the same thing. Also, you're exceptionally sensitive to the way your own body smells, so it's likely you're worried about how strong your odor is when no one else can smell anything–or they're worried about how THEY smell.

I use a sure plus roll-on and anti-persipant, i regularly maintain a shave area of the underarm, however, if i wear something thin or sleeved, i will get heavy sweating leaving embarrasing sweat patches.. how can i control it.
Forget the Sure and get yourself some Mitchum roll-on. They claim on the label that it’s so good you can miss a day without bathing, and while it might sound a bit gross I can vouch for it being tru. They do men’s and women’s versions available in most good supermarkets and chemists. I had a mate at school years ago who had a major BO problem, so I got him some of this stuff and he was “cured” overnight!

My underarm sweating seems to be going away slowly. Each day I sweat less and less from the time I did they day before. I do not know if i just don't feel my sweat or if it is actually fading away. Do you know how I can tell if it's just me or if its actually going away?
you'll just have to look and feel your armpits to see if they are sweating excessively. I tell everyone about this product I use, I had extreme excess sweating in my armpits and my girlfriend (now fiance) told me about this product called Certain Dry. Use it every other day for a while and eventually you can drop down to just one day a week and it completely dries the sweat glands in there, you won't sweat AT ALL!!

How can you stop excessive underarm sweating without drugs or antiperspirants (which are bad for you)? This happens even it's cold — it has nothing to do with sweating from being too hot.
Baking soda. Works like deo.
